The Northern Suburbs Community Centre Inc is a not for profit community organisation that caters to the diverse needs of the community in the northern suburbs of Launceston. Finalist - 2012 CGU Business Excellence Awards, Building Community Category We provided emergency relief to families and individuals in our community. We provided weekly programs, activities and trauma informed activities that supported all community, all ages, all genders, including those who are marginalised/under resourced and vulnerable community members (e.g. those who are at risk of being homeless, or are homeless, those who experienced domestic violence, young people who have had trauma in their lives, socially isolated, experiencing drug and alcohol related issues). Making free and lowcost meals available weekly, distributed fresh fruit and veg at low or no cost.
