This week marks National Boarding Week, and we are thrilled to celebrate our wonderful Boarding community 🤍🐉 Boarding weaves a rich tapestry in the fabric of Westminster School, having proudly hosted Boarders since our earliest days in 1961. Fast forward to 2025, our Boarders have grown from a cohort of 30 students in 1961 to 179 students today, hailing from rural and remote areas in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory, Schools of the Air, and overseas. A unique and special bond is shared between our Boarders, who together, have created a home away from home. Inside our Boarding house exists 96 boarders with current or recently graduated siblings, 3rd generation boarders, boarders whose parents first met on the very grounds they walk today, and a whole lot of love, laughter and learning. Our Mother's Day Luncheon was a beautiful celebration of motherhood last Friday, with nearly 220 guests joining together for a wonderful day at The Highway Hotel. Westminster mothers enjoyed delicious tastings from Mclaren Vale Distillery and treats from La Petite Patisserie, whilst raising vital funds for the Variety The Children's Charity. Featuring a generous raffle, live auction and stalls with bespoke offerings from our talented community, we thank our Westminster Parents & Friends' Club for organising such a special event 🤍🐉 (fb)
