Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District trading as LORDS Little Wonders Kindergarten
LORDS Little Wonders Kindergarten is a nonprofit early childhood education service operated by the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District. It functions as part of the Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services (QLECS) and is governed in partnership with a sub-committee of LORDS Council. The kindergarten is located in Pimpama, Queensland.
Overview
LORDS Little Wonders Kindergarten provides a Pre-Prep program designed to deliver quality early childhood education within a safe and nurturing environment. The program caters primarily to children who turn 4 by June 30 of the year they attend kindergarten, aligning with Queensland’s kindergarten eligibility guidelines.
Governance and Regulatory Framework
The kindergarten operates under the governance of a committee linked to the Lutheran Church and is supported by QLECS, which administers state government funding and ensures that the educational programs meet approved standards. QLECS also oversees enrolment management, waiting lists, and prioritizes enrolments while ensuring inclusivity, including catering to children with additional cultural or educational needs.
The kindergarten adheres to the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS), which aim to standardize and enhance the quality of child care and early education in Australia. These standards cover many aspects of care, including staff-to-child ratios and staff qualifications, promoting continuous improvement in service delivery.
Educational Program and Staff
The kindergarten’s educational program focuses on early childhood development and school readiness, preparing children for the transition to formal schooling. Jacinta Turner, the Service Leader and Early Childhood Teacher, oversees program planning, communication, teaching quality, evaluation, and staff professional development. Jacinta brings many years of experience in early childhood education and serves as the primary contact for enrolment enquiries.
Operating Hours and Services
LORDS Little Wonders Kindergarten operates from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, providing long-day care which supports families with flexible childcare needs. The centre is committed to delivering inclusive and accessible early learning programs in line with Lutheran educational values.
LORDS Little Wonders Kindergarten represents a vital part of the Lutheran Church’s mission in Queensland, integrating faith-based values with a commitment to high-quality early childhood education and care. It provides families with a trusted option for nurturing their children's early learning development within a supportive Christian community.

SECONDARY SCHOOL | We're rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer! Our Year 12 students are joining the chop for change: Cohen, Mia, Macquarie, Anna, and Summer! ✨ Did you know that 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime? We're taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support people impacted by cancer. Throughout the year, we will be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Australia, before chopping off my ponytail and rocking a brand new hairdo. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange. All funds raised will go towards essential cancer support services, prevention programs, and lifesaving research. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun. We know that we can help create change. ➡️ Will you support us? https://www.ponytailproject.com.au/fundraisers/lordsponytailproject #RockTheChop #cancercouncilaustralia #lordspimpama #chopforchange (fb)
SPORT | ⚽️ VETO Futsal League Finals – 12 Years Boys and 12 Years Girls ⚽️ On Wednesday, 16th October, our 12 Years Boys and 12 Years Girls teams competed in the VETO Futsal League Finals. The 12 Years Boys earned a place in the Championship Division, finishing tied for first after the round stage. They faced three very strong and well-drilled schools in the finals. Despite some great futsal throughout the round robin, the boys managed one draw and two narrow one-goal losses. In the playoff for 3rd and 4th place, they truly lifted their game, producing an outstanding 5–1 win to secure 3rd place overall — a fantastic result, especially considering 20 teams participated in the competition. The 12 Years Girls competed in the Shield Finals after finishing 3rd in their group. They started the day with a hard-fought draw against St Andrews before delivering a dominant performance in their next match over Eatons Hill. In their final group game, they came up against the undefeated Good Samaritan College and narrowly went down 6–5 in a thrilling match. Their efforts earned them a spot in the Shield Grand Final, where they fought bravely but just fell short, taking home the silver medal. 🥈🫶🏼 This concludes our first year participating in the VETO Futsal League, and it has been a huge success. The 12 Years Boys finished 3rd out of 20 teams, the 12 Years Girls 6th out of 20 teams, and the 14 Years Boys 6th out of 40 teams. 🎉✨ Next year, we’ll be looking to build on these great results and aim for even more silverware. A big thank you to Coach Hadi for his outstanding work running the futsal program this year — the success of all our teams is a testament to his dedication and effort. 🎉🙏 #futsal #futsalskills #teamspirit #soproud #lordspimpama (fb)
