Marine Rescue NSW provides emergency help, marine radio communications and boating safety education in NSW Marine Rescue NSW provides 24/7 volunteer marine search, rescue and communication services to the NSW boating community. Our 46 units are strategically located along the NSW coastline, on Lord Howe Island and inland on the Alpine Lakes and Murray River. In FY2021/2022 Marine Rescue NSW received over 223,000 marine radio calls, had over 65,000 vessels log on to its vessel tracking app, performed 3,905 rescue missions and rescued 8,518 people on NSW waterways.
