If you take a ride on Connecticut 1160 this weekend you will see this freshly polished brass by year-round volunteer Rich Coots! Yes, we love patina but that’s not how the trolleys looked when they operated; the brass was shiny and new, and that’s how it looks again, thanks to Rich. When he’s finished polishing all of the brass on 1160, he’ll move on to our other fleet cars next. Thank you Rich! (fb)
All Aboard! Our model railroad building and exhibit are open today from 10 AM to 4 PM. Perfect rainy day activity! Our entire campus, including our heritage railway, will be open Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We hope to see you! (fb)
