Invisible Disabilities Week is an annual awareness campaign that highlights the experiences of people living with disabilities that aren’t immediately visible. These can include chronic pain, mental health conditions, neurological disorders, autoimmune diseases, and many others. Meet Phoebe, a remarkable student at The Carter School who has dedicated her time to our Early Childhood Programs. Twice a week, Phoebe brings her enthusiasm and creativity to our youngest learners, and her impact is simply extraordinary. At the age of 17, Phoebe discovered the joy of giving back. By engaging with our preschoolers, she not only builds her professional skills but also encourages these children to explore, learn, and grow as she did here at Meeting Street. Phoebe’s commitment reminds us that inclusion, opportunity and growth go hand in hand and that every Meeting Street student has something incredible to share.
