AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INTO THE WOODS Director: Laura Challender Auditions will be held at the following times for Into the Woods: Thursday, July 17 @ 6:00 pm Friday, July 18 @ 6:00 pm Saturday, July 19 @ 10:00 am (Possible callbacks for Sunday, July 20 @ 2:00 pm) Auditions will be held at Magnolia Arts Center. Description: Into the Woods is a 1986 musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The musical is tied together by a story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch who has placed a curse on them, and encounters with other storybook characters during their journey. Productions Dates: October 30; November 1, 2 & November 6,7,8,9 2:00 matinees on November 1, 2, 8, & 9. (fb)

Established in the autumn of 2005 Magnolia Arts Center was founded with the mission of creating a comprehensive arts organization to serve Greenville and the surrounding areas. For twentyfive years Magnolia has delivered a myriad of plays musicals and special events. We invite you to explore our upcoming events in our 2025 season. The NC Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service awarded Magnolia Arts Center the 2024 Governors Volunteer Service Award honoring the true spirit of volunteerism by recognizing individuals and groups that make a significant contribution to their community through volunteer service.
