New York City, out and about . Early in the patrol, we came across something that really hit home — an older man who’d been robbed and hurt while he was just trying to rest in Sara D. Roosevelt Park. His wallet was taken, and his nose was broken while he lay there helpless. Moments like that remind us why we do what we do. Thankfully, NYPD, FDNY, and EMS responded fast and took care of him right away. We’re grateful for their quick action and for all they do every day. No one deserves to be left alone or unsafe in their own community.
