Peggy is living unhoused, and has been for some time now. We’ve been supporting Peggy and her dog Winky overs the years with pet food so that lice is a little easier. A recently escaped Winky was taken into North Central, and we helped Peggy redeem her. “I’ve had Winky since she was around 3 years old, and she’s 14 now. Without her… it would be devastating. We’ve been through a lot together over 11 years,” Peggy told us. Adopted from friends who found Winky in the USC area, to Peggy, Winky is family. She is all the family she has. Winky is her home.
