At Faces of Hope, we understand that pets provide comfort and support. All pets, whether registered support animals or not, are welcome here. Abusers often use threats or harm towards their victim's pets to exert power and control before becoming physically violent with the victim. The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence reports that 40% of domestic violence victims do not leave their abuser out of concern for their pet's safety.
