Dr. Deidre Anderson, Executive Director of Women Empowered, and Dr. Tyrette Carter, Education Professor at North Carolina A&T University, joined forces at the International Conference on Urban Education last week to present the groundbreaking WE Next program. This transformative initiative connects young Black women from the U.S. and Africa in a leadership development journey, equipping them to become the next generation of global changemakers. The program culminates with participants meeting face-to-face in Africa to launch a collaborative social impact project.
