Connecticut Open House Day at the Denison Homestead! Saturday, June 14th (11am - 3pm) Celebrate Connecticut Open House Day! Visit the Denison Homestead and take a tour of the historic Pequotsepos Manor. As one of the few properties still owned by its original family, the Denison Homestead has been home to many generations of Denisons since 1654. The current 1717 manor house was restored and converted into a museum in the 1940s by famed architect J. Frederick Kelly, featuring five distinctly furnished and decorated rooms representing different historic periods in southeastern Connecticut. Admission: FREE! King Philips War Era History Presentation and Encampment June 21st and 22nd 2025 King Philips War also known as the Great Narragansett War began 350 years ago in June of 1675. This era was a major pivot point in the history of New England and eventually what became the United States. The Denison Homestead will be hosting presentations by several premier historians of this era and will also have an encampment of both Colonist and Native American interpreters demonstrating aspects of life in this important era.
