Working to preserve the unique vibe of the East Village. The East Village Community Coalition works to recognize, support, and sustain the architectural and cultural character of the East Village. The East Village Community Coalition (EVCC) was formed to promote and improve the health, safety, recreation and well-being of the residents of the East Village (New York City) neighborhood, to enhance and foster a sense of community among its residents, and to improve the East Village neighborhood by conserving the historical properties in the neighborhood and by controlling unnecessary growth and development detrimental to the community.
