We recently had three hand pumps installed like this ine shown here on behalf of a donor in #Sangar and Tando Muhammad Khan #TMkhan districts of #Sindh, #Pakistan. Each pump is catering to 5 to 6+ households at their doorsteps. The total one time cost with the concrete and brick platform is ~USD 95. Access to clean water in Sindh, Pakistan, is a significant challenge, with many residents lacking access to safe and easily accessible drinking water sources. In 2020, only 36% of Pakistan's population had access to piped water, with Sindh having even lower access rates. +++ Paksef was founded in May of 2002 as a platform to support academic research and development in science and technology, however we quickly realized that the key to sustainable change in Pakistan is to return to first.principles and address issues at the grassroot level.
