It is with great pleasure that House of Blue Hope welcomes one of our graduates, Eliya Mbwawa, to the United States. For the first time in HBH history, we will have a graduate join us for our annual retreat and fundraiser, Raise a Glass Fort Lauderdale. Eliya joined House of Blue Hope back in 2010 when he was only 5 years old. He started his education journey at House of Blue Hope by attending Gonzaga Primary School in 2011, where he spent seven years. In 2018, Eliya graduated his Primary Education and went on to join Loyola High School for his Secondary School Education. He graduated in 2022. Having passed his secondary school exams, Eliya—passionate about helping others—went on to join Ebonite Teachers’ College to pursue a degree in education in 2023. Eliya is one of our proud alumni having spent more than 10 years provided with shelter, love, education, and hope for a brighter future. Eliya hopes to become a teacher so he can give back to society and inspire young minds, just as he was inspired. His journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of House of Blue Hope’s supporters, caregivers, and generous people like you.
