On August 15, the community came together and raised over $20,000 for murals in Downtown Ellensburg. The “Blank Canvas Party” featured live artists, music, silent and live auctions, and delicious food and drinks to the alleyway behind Gallery One. Community members stepped up to fund new downtown murals, as well as the rehabilitation of existing historic murals. The Blank Canvas Party was also the kickoff event of the newly organized “Mural Society,” spearheaded by the EDA’s Design Committee.
