There's been a lot of talk recently about our makerspace. Well... what IS a makerspace??? 🤔🤷‍♂️ A makerspace is a creative, hands on space where kids can explore self-expression through building, crafting and designing. Making fosters emotional regulation and problem solving by engaging the mind and body in meaningful activity. It's a space that fosters confidence through trial and error in a low stakes setting. While trips to escape rooms and Level99 can be fun off campus activities for our boys, they also provide opportunities for team building. Team building activities can help them learn how to communicate effectively, listen to others, lead with respect, and collaborate to solve problems. We like to encourage these guys to engage in more team-building experiences - not just for fun, but to help shape them into strong, respectful, and emotionally intelligent young men.
