30 Yearsand Beyond Organized in 1994 the Council of Juvenile Justice Administrators CJJA is a national nonprofit organization 501c3 created to improve juvenile justice systems enhance local correctional and residential facilities and programs and most importantly promote better long term outcomes for youth and their families. CJJA represents the state juvenile justice system CEOs the District of Columbia Puerto Rico and various local jurisdictions across the country. The Council of Juvenile Justice Administrators CJJA fulfills its mission through educational activities and programs as well as research and technical assistance projects. Education activities include a series of annual meetings for members offering sessions on best practices and evidencebased approaches.
