Table to Table rescues fresh, healthy surplus food that would otherwise be wasted and delivers it to agency partners, including soup kitchens, homeless shelters and senior facilities that serve nutritious meals to the hungry. Nearly 1 million of our neighbors in New Jersey are food insecure; meanwhile, enough food for over 3 billion meals is wasted each year in our state. As NJ’s first and largest dedicated food rescue nonprofit, Table to Table delivers a solution, rescuing fresh, healthy food and ensuring it reaches those who need it most. Each year, throughout Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris and Passaic counties, we keep nearly 25 million pounds of food out of landfills and deliver it for free to partner agencies who support children and families, seniors, veterans, people experiencing homelessness, and others who struggle to put food on the table.
