The Kansha History Project began in the fall of 2023, transcribing farm transfer records of Japanese farmers in California who lost their livelihoods during World War II. With support from the Takahashi Foundation, they are now beginning to work on doing the same for over 800 Pacific Northwest farms. They have already transcribed 6,000 records that will become available in a searchable database for descendents looking for family records.
