Announcing our judges for the 2025 Miss Vermont and Miss Vermont’s Teen competition! Dr. Dennis Momyer, our head panelist, served two terms as an elected delegate from the western United States to the National Association of Miss America State Pageants (NAMASP). Debi D’Iorio was crowned Miss Rhode Island 1975 and was a Preliminary Swimsuit Award winner at Miss America. She has remained an active volunteer in the Miss America Opportunity for 50 years. Stacey Erickson has served as faculty at several colleges and is a graduate of Boston College and Suffolk University Law School. She is involved in community theater, acting in productions with the Pawtucket Community Players, plays violin and enjoys volunteering in her community. Dr. Carlos Latorre, MD, has been a passionate supporter of the Miss America competition for many years, enjoying the opportunity to mentor young women in the program. Gabriela “Gabby” Taveras is a first-generation Dominican Afro-Latina from Lawrence, MA, who made history as the first Black Miss Massachusetts in the Miss America Organization. Gabby placed Top 5 at Miss America, winning one of the STEM Awards and the On-Stage Question and Interview Award. Heather Boehme is our Judges Chairperson. A former local pageant director, Heather has volunteered in the Miss America Opportunity for over 20 years. We cannot wait to welcome them to the Green Mountain State in a few weeks! (fb)
