During today's community meeting, UCAP welcomed Secretary of State Gregg Amore. We are so grateful to him for teaching us about his office, U.S. voter rights history, and our responsibility to participate in elections. Lifting the late Rep. John Lewis and his lifelong advocacy to expand voter rights. Secretary Amore reminded us that "democracy is an act." In Rhode Island, young people can register to vote as early as 16 — it's easy to exercise the power of our voices at the polls and "be a part of the solution." We love working in the Science Lab! UCAP students looked at specimens of blood, skeletal muscle, and skin under the microscope.
