The mission of Greater Capitol Heights Improvement Corporation (“GCHIC”) is to stimulate revitalization, redevelopment, and reinvestment in the inner-Beltway gateway communities of central Prince George’s County, Maryland, that surround the District of Columbia’s East Corner. We collaborate with governmental and private entities to achieve a more sustainable and economically viable urban environment. We promote urban revitalization, economic development, smart growth, and job creation, and work to make local government more efficient and more accessible, accountable, and responsive to the community.
