"It was such a pleasure to attend Preservation Long Island 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 this past Monday. The day was packed with lectures on history, research methodologies, construction techniques, and finished off with a demonstration of historic woodworking techniques by Gregory Landrey of Winterthur Museum. We were given the opportunity to put our new skills to the test with a hands-on workshop cataloguing a piece of furniture from PLI's collection.
