Great opportunity to visit this Saturday July 5th as we open the house for tours. Henry Bowers will be on hand to show you around. Henry is a Waldo descendant and is very knowledgeable about everything in the home and Waldo history in general. We open at 11 and the last tour starts at 2pm! (fb)
Members of the Society and friends taking part in our annual picnic at the Waldo. Our June meeting picnic signals we are going into our summer monthly meeting break. Our next scheduled meeting will be on Wednesday evening September 3rd, 7pm in the Scotland Fire Department conference room. If you are interested in Scotland town history or have any questions regarding its history we welcome anyone to attend. (fb)

Welcome to the online home of The Scotland Historical Society Welcome to the Scotland Historical Society Scotland lies in the eastern corner of Connecticut nestled between WillimanticWindham and the towns of Canterbury and Plainfield. Our charter is to keep the history of Scotland available to the residents and anyone who may have an interest in our small town. Scotland was foundedabout the year 1700 and fully incorporated in 1857. Our society was formed in 1979 toaccept the gift of the Waldo house including all propertes and contents.
