Congo Church pre-1879. This one of the oldest pictures in Wellfleet’s collection. The old steeple of the Congregational Church blew off in 1879 so this picture is at least that old! (fb)
The Higgins’ House looks down over the remains of the Main Street fire of 1909. Many businesses and the town library were lost. This scene was duplicated in 1960 when on roughly the same lot Town Hall burned to the ground, and the upstairs library burned again. (fb)
