You Are Not Alone Each year an estimated 1 in 5 or 581830 Long Island residents suffer from some form of mental health disorder and approximately 400000 people 12 are impacted by a substance use issue in any given year. Many suffer in silencebecause they cant ask for help especially those who need it the most. Thats why it is so important for friends families and neighbors to be the voice of those who cant or wont initially seek help for themselves. CN Guidance Counseling Services a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization serving Long Island for over 50 years has grown substantially since its inception in 1972.
