Our Backpack Packing Party was a huge success! On Tuesday, volunteers came together to help us pack backpacks full of school supplies for Cambridge students. With music playing, pizza in hand, and even a round of Pin the Pouch on the Backpack, we had so much fun while preparing students for a strong start to the school year. We also included handwritten motivational cards in each backpack, so every student receives a little extra encouragement along with their supplies. A BIG thank you to: @cambridgevolunteers and @votejivan for spreading the word @councillorsiddiqui for donating backpacks and jumping in as a volunteer @ksqu_association for sending a great team of helpers @industrioushq Harvard Square and @TempoCambridge for collecting supplies in their community bins And of course, everyone who shopped our Amazon wishlist and joined us at the event! We still have more supplies on the way, and we can’t wait to distribute these backpacks to students next week. 💙 (fb)
