Artists for Humanity is pleased to announce that Patrice Maye has been named as AFH's new Executive Director. She will step into this role officially on September 15th, as Anna Yu concludes her tenure with Artists for Humanity. We are thankful for Anna’s three years of leadership and dedication to the mission of our organization! Although new to the role, Patrice is not new to AFH. As Development Director from 2001-2017, Patrice led efforts to build the organization’s operating budget from $800k to over $4million annually. Along the way, Patrice collaborated with AFH cofounders and mentors to identify and implement the educational support systems needed to steward teens on pathways to successful and self-sufficient futures. Jason Talbot, AFH co-Founder, enthusiastically embraces Patrice’s return and welcomes her “home.” Jason shared, “I am over the moon that Patrice will be our next Executive Director. It's like a dream come true. I am excited to work with her again to continue to make magic happen." Patrice is excited to return to Artists for Humanity, and to collaborate with staff to create new opportunities, achieve artistic excellence, and guide personal triumphs for creative teens. We’re thrilled to bring Patrice’s fundraising and strategic planning expertise back to the AFH of today, with 400 youth employed and an $8million operating budget. MINDART is a creative strategy studio that blends brand therapy with design and storytelling to help organizations, artists, and brands map their purpose, shape their story, and launch impactful campaigns. When we asked Wendy what empowered her the most about her career, she expressed that helping people transform their stories and experiences into powerful brands, art, and campaigns that create real change was one of the most important and exciting parts of her work. Speaking of real change, MINDART is in the process of launching IMAGINE and Revvyo, which Wendy describes as, “two platforms that work seamlessly together to empower artists, heal communities, and spark new possibilities.” Wendy has taken her AFH experience and transformed it into one that has allowed her to take charge, create change, and influence our community. We’re so excited to see what Wendy and MINDART will do next as well as all of the exciting and meaningful work that will be created as a result of the creation of IMAGINE and Revvyo.
