Today, we officially cut the ribbon on a first-of-its-kind affordable housing development in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, designed to help New Yorkers transition from shelter to stability. 🏠✨ The Atlantic offers 183 beautiful, affordable apartments with state-of-the-art amenities and on-site light-touch supportive services. Residents have access to a host of amenities, including a rooftop terrace and lounge, children’s playroom, and community spaces provided by ICL to promote long-term housing stability and well-being. And it’s just steps away from our East New York Health HUB! The Atlantic was made possible through an innovative public-private partnership among NYC Department of Social Services, ICL, and Camber Property Group under the City’s Affordable Housing Services (AHS) program. This ground-breaking initiative, launched by Mayor Eric Adams and DSS, leverages social services dollars and CityFHEPS vouchers to develop new housing or transform vacant ​underutilized properties into permanent, affordable homes with on-site services for individuals and families transitioning out of shelter.
