“through this, to that”, an exhibition of works by New City Arts Fellows Ava Burke, Ben Frye, I.F. Gonzales, and Sophia Chaudhry, opens at Welcome Gallery on Friday, September 5. Join us from 5-7:30PM for a free, public reception sponsored by William Taylor and the Taylor Group of Truist Investment Services. An artist Q&A will take place at 6PM. 🔗 Link in bio for more info. The exhibition will be on view at Welcome Gallery from September 5-24, 2025. We are so grateful to the people and organizations who joined with us this year to make the Fellowship possible. The 2025 Fellows were guided by the theme “through this, to that”, written by Guest Curator, Eboni Bugg. The artist cohort was selected by a community panel through an open call and competitive application process. Each artist received a month-long studio space grant located at @visible_records and a stipend. This year’s Fellowship is supported by the Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation.
