Here is an update on the N21 Conrail Caboose 21292 fundraising drive. We are stalled at 15% of our $25,000 goal. We recently found out that 2 of our wheelsets will need replaced as well. We are continuing to work on the car but need a substantial boost in our campaign to get new windows and window frames ordered to hopefully have the car ready to celebrate Conrail's 50th birthday next year. We will announce some new work dates to keep the restoration moving forward until we exhaust the restoration funds gathered to that point. It was built new for the Conrail and is the only class of caboose built for the blue and the white. For much of its career, this bay-window caboose was assigned to the coalfields around West Brownsville, Pennsylvania, serving as a rolling office for the conductor on the rear of jointly-operated Conrail/Monongahela Railroad coal trains.
