We would like to continue our staff recognition by spotlighting Nancy and Joe Welch, our awesome Yankees staff!! Nancy Welch is our Yankees Buddy Team Leader, and Joe Welch is our Yankees coach! Nancy and Joe Welch have been dedicated volunteers in the Miracle League since their daughter CaraLee joined early on—in the first or second season. What began as a family effort to support CaraLee has grown into a deep commitment, with Joe now coaching and Nancy serving as a Buddy Team Leader for the Yankees in the Adult Division. Baseball has always been at the heart of their household—both played as kids and now share their love of the game with CaraLee. Joe, originally from Upstate New York, is especially thrilled to represent his beloved Yankees in the league. No matter the kind of day anyone has had, when it is time to “Play Ball,” the Welches help bring joy, excitement, and community to the field. Allie Mooney has been a dedicated volunteer with the Miracle League for the past three years and recently started serving as the Announcer Coordinator. Though she does not have any children participating, her passion for the league is fueled by the joy she brings to others. For Allie, nothing beats the moment an athlete steps up to bat or crosses home plate with a smile—those moments are the highlight of her weekend. Her favorite tradition? Leading the crowd in a rousing rendition of Take Me Out to the Ballgame - true Miracle League classic! A fun fact about Allie: She was a volunteer tour guide on the VIP shuttle bus for the 1994 MLB All-Star Game in Pittsburgh! Thank you Allie for all that you do for the Miracle League!
