We would like to highlight the invaluable role DSPs play in supporting individuals of all abilities. The heart and soul of LEAP's organization and the "backbone" of care. Thank you LEAP DSPs!! from Amanda Leach, Shared Living Liaison: Shared Living Providers, I want to take a moment to thank my Shared living providers for your dedication and hard work you put into give your person the best home/family life experience possible. Being a Shared Living provider is not an easy job as it is 24/7 and downtime or time away is not always an easy option. Leaving work at work is not the motto for a Shared Living provider. Every one of you steps up and does what is needed to keep your person happy, healthy and safe with very little complaint. I want to say that it does not go unnoticed and I appreciate every one of you, and I want you to know I think you all are Superstars! - Amanda Leach from Kristi Iverson, Industry Road Administrator: Industry Road DSPs, It’s been an awesome year for Industry Road! They faced many challenges including navigating COVID outbreaks, power outages, supporting each other through staff and client illnesses, and adjusting to a big leadership transition. Through it all, they have not lost sight of what matters most: maintaining a safe, supportive home for the folks out there. They welcomed new team members with open arms, made them feel like part of the family, and kept providing the exceptional care that defines this program. The way they stayed strong, flexible, and committed through everchanging times says so much about who they are as a team. Even with all those challenges, there were so many bright moments worth celebrating. Some of them added new pets to their families. Daily they showed up with the same energy, compassion, and heart that make such a difference in the lives of others. They support individuals with a wide range of abilities, always respecting their independence and dignity, and that is something to truly be proud of.
