ACM International

ACM International, formally known as African Christian Mission, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to Christian missions globally. The organization underwent a name change to reflect its expanded geographical outreach beyond Africa.

History

ACM International began its work in 1948 with missionaries sent to the Congo, initially focusing on the Ituri Rain Forest. Over time, it expanded its mission to other regions of Africa, including Nigeria and Mali. In 1995, the organization phased out its operations in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) and began working in new areas. The name change to ACM International was formalized in 2008, with the acronym later defined as the Alliance of Christian Missions.
