I remember filling out the application to be a resident artist at Links Hall in 2003 sitting at a café in Paris, escaping a turbulant stint in Brooklyn, some sunny years in Los Angeles, and having just finished performances with cie Felix Ruckert in a pool in Brussels. Popping from one thing to the next, I got the acceptance from Links and found a place to throw down roots. It's hard to feel these roots from the initial plant dissolving, but I know that the many artists who have had a home at Links have created new places and spaces and dances and communities and experiments and collectives and the essence of Links Hall will live on in that canopy.
