Jordan Martinez @jordanrodmartinez (Salt Class of 2024) is a New York-based artist who has had a passion for art "ever since he stepped foot on this earth." His love for photography began at the age of 14 during the peak of the pandemic. It started as an activity to keep busy. Soon after, photography became a way to express himself. He took advantage of his father's camera to take photos of nature. As time went on, he wanted to explore more about the art of photography. Jordan is currently a sophomore at FIT, where he is majoring in photography. Jordan is the 2025 recipient of the Nikon Emerging Talent Scholarship, where he was granted a $10,000 tuition-based award. August Book of the Month: Fashion Photographs by William Wegman 🐩 We picked this book off our shelves expecting to see photographs of fashion icons, and we weren’t entirely wrong. In Fashion Photographs, William Wegman creates large-format Polaroid portraits of a different kind of muse: his dog Fay Ray’s three puppies—Chundo, Battina, and Crooky. Dressed in couture by designers like Jean-Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, and Issey Miyake, these Weimaraners are styled in the kind of high fashion and glamour most of us can only dream about. (fb)
