At Canterbury's annual Crescendo! event on May 15, we had the privilege of celebrating three remarkable individuals whose contributions have been vital to the growth and longevity of our organization. Arthur and Betty Thompson received the Myles Criss Visionary Award, named in honor of Canterbury’s founder and first Artistic Director. For decades, the Thompsons have provided extraordinary volunteer service and steadfast support, helping to shape Canterbury’s enduring legacy. We also honored Mark Parker, Dean of the Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University, retiring after 35 years at OCU. Mark played a key role in the strategic planning that led to the flourishing partnership between Canterbury and OCU, which began in 2001 and continues today.🎶 Oh Joy Photography (fb)
