We Believe in Kinship. Founded in 2000, Lazarus is an Atlanta-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has recently expanded to Washington, D.C. We foster kinship with people on the margins in order to transform lives in meaningful ways. We believe in kinship. We exist to come alongside our marginalized neighbors and help to meet relational, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

We Believe in Kinship Our Mission We foster kinship with people on the margins in order to transform lives in meaningful and tangible ways. At Lazarus people can volunteer and people can receive help but the heart of our cause is much deeper than that we believe we belong to each other. The relationships that are built bring hope redemption empathy and love to all who are involved. Its these longterm relationships that provide the real lifelong transformation to create meaningful change affecting future generations.
