Austin Riesenberger ’24 is transforming the way we think about clean air with SWERV, a smaller, more affordable, and more efficient type of air purification system he began developing during his senior year. Through St. Lawrence’s 3+2 engineering partnership with Columbia University, Austin gained the skills and confidence to turn a classroom idea into a growing business. Fellow graduate Cole Ames ’24, now a propulsion engineer at SpaceX, contributed to the early design of SWERV, drawing on the hands-on experience he gained at St. Lawrence.
