There is a strong history between the disability community and the LGBTQ+ community. Disabilities don't discriminate against race, religion, gender, age, or sexual orientation. They show up in ways that are physical and ways that are hidden. They show up in ways that are subtle and ways that are quite obvious. Pride is the promotion of self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people as a social group.
