Volunteers from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicago, visited the Hutchinson Group Home of LSSI for the ELCA’s “God’s work. Our hands” day of service. They helped our Behavioral Health Services staff members, Marcia and Fethiya, clean one of our three mental health group homes on the Northwest side of Chicago that are a steppingstone for individuals with a mental health diagnosis who have a goal of living independently. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America started “God’s work. Our hands” in 2013 as an annual day of service for people of all abilities and ages to work alongside one another, love their neighbors, and improve their communities. #GodsWorkOurHands 💛 (fb)
