The past few days we have had several early morning calls, including a rubbish fire and a water rescue operation. At 4:45 AM Friday, we were dispatched to the scene of a trash fire. Prior to the dispatch, a trash truck driver noticed a burning smell and smoke condition from the trash compartment. He made a smart decision to dump the trash load in an empty parking lot, at which point he called 911. E60 and R60 arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the trash pile before any extension could occur. This morning, crews were dispatched to a marine rescue box for a vehicle in flood water. Crews were able to safely remove the victims from their car and walk them to safety. The flood water subsided quickly following the rescue. Great job by all our crews! (fb)

Another busy 24 hours in the books! At 3:48AM, Tanker 61 was dispatched to assist Worcester Volunteer Fire Department on the scene of a fully involved barn fire. T61 supplied 15,000 gallons of water to crews while on scene and our crews were dismissed at 6:00AM. Later this afternoon, crews were dispatched to the scene of an auto extrication on Hilltown Pike (photos courtesy of North Penn Now). The patient was extricated with no injuries.
