Last night, Firefighter/EMTs Chris Bacanskas and Ryan Thomas were sworn in publicly in front of the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors. Firefighter/EMT Bacanskias is currently assigned the B platoon, while Firefighter/EMT Thomas is assigned to the A platoon. During their probationary periods, both will be under the guidance of a field training officer who will ensure that they are adequately trained about our department operations, fire inspection and prevention program, target hazards associated with Newtown Township and Newtown Borough, and more.
