PARC - A ServiceSource Affiliate, kicked off our 2025 Service Excellence Awards events in Layton, Utah, where nearly 200 people came together to celebrate 27 awardees for their achievements and contributions to the community, including employees of the year Julia Adams and Miles Jensen. PARC also honored its Community Partners of the Year, Old Navy in Farmington and Riverdale, and Marshalls in Farmington, for their support and the positive impact they have on the lives of people in community employment programs. Meet Andy and Dina, two of the enabled athletes competing on Team ServiceSource in the 50th Annual Marine Corps Marathon Marine Corps Marathon on October 26! Members of our community integration program in Chantilly, Virginia, Andy and Dina enthusiastically agreed to participate in this team event with The Ability Experience Dina is excited to participate in the marathon. Ernestine, a direct support professional (DSP) who works with her, explains that Dina loves to be engaged with people around her. "Participating in the marathon boosts her self-esteem and helps her feel like part of the community." Andy, who participated in a 5k previously, is taking on a bigger challenge this year with the marathon. DSP Khal, who supports Andy, said he likes to be active. “This marathon gives Andy a chance to show people how much he's capable of." ServiceSource staff members Mariana, Hilary, Ken, and Mateen will be running the marathon and trading off pushing Dina and Andy’s adaptive race chairs. They team is aiming to raise $10,000 for The Ability Experience to make it possible for more individuals to participate in their communities, open up their world, and pursue joy and fulfillment.
