On Sunday around 19:15hrs station 46 was dispatched to a reported building fire in the area of W Main St & Burnside Ave. Assistant 46 called for the WFD while still being a block out from the incident. On arrival Assistant 46 found a 2stry commercial building with heavy fire in the garage on the B/C corner. Quint 46 arrived as the First Due Engine and deployed an initial attack line. In the process of extinguishing the fire the line bursted from the heat which required the crew to back out and replace the broken section. Due to the quick response of all companies involved, the fire was able to be held in the garage with minor extension into the building. No citizens were injured in this fire. One firefighter was injured, but will make a full recovery.
