The Sisters of Charity Health System and all of our ministries join people around the world in mourning the loss and celebrating the life of Pope Francis. He dedicated his entire ministry to focusing on the experiences of the most vulnerable members of society. Pope Francis exemplified the qualities of a true servant leader, recognizing that caring for the poor, the sick, the hungry, those in prison and strangers mattered the most. He was an unwavering advocate for ethical care for all, and always led with compassion, inclusivity and humility. Pope Francis leaves a legacy for all of us to emulate.
