Arriving at the rescue today is Merle . This picture is of him watching his mom drive away . This friendly fellas owner passed away a while ago and while the owners wife tried her hardest to keep their boy her health will no longer allow her to continue so she tearfully surrendered him . Merle is 7 years old . He is healthy and has received vet care with the proper immunizations and tick prevention throughout his life . He is well house trained and can be alone up to 8 hours if necessary. He is able to get along with other dogs. He has not had any experience with cats . Merle has enjoyed the company of the owners grandchildren but given his age a home with out a constant high energy level may be best . So very happy to let you all know Oakley has a family and a great one at that ! Three year old Oakley Olukai will be living a great life fit for a king in Oshkosh with 4 times adopters Sue Spencer and Dale Paulin . Oakley actually decided upon meeting this wonderful couple that he was meant to be theirs and would not leave Dales side !
