Homeowners Builders Dealers Support Blog Main Menu SunPower Foundation A commitment to environmental equity We believe that a future with a livable climate is a fundamental human right and that access to affordable solar energy and participation in solar economic opportunities are critical to building that future. This equity cannot exist without addressing the systemic barriers that individuals of various genders incomes races and other marginalized identities experience in being able to fully participate in the clean energy transition. We aim to correct these inequities with the following areas of focus Solar accessibility affordability and resiliency Projects that support the deployment of affordable or freeofcost solar solutions to communities that have been historically underserved andor impacted by climate disasters. Workforce Development Projects aimed at increasing access to all solar careers ranging from STEM to installation with a focus on supporting women people of color and other underrepresented identities.
