From Marc Andreas (son): This is a final post and tribute to my Mom, Kay Pech, who passed away at age 84 on October 5, 2024. She was an incredible Mom! She had several strokes in recent weeks and her health declined quickly. She didn't suffer long as family and hospice care did a wonderful job in the final days at home. Chamber Music InstituteSoCal Chamber music connects us to others and is a language for feelings that have no other expression. The Chamber Music Institute of Southern CaliforniaCMIsc For the past 28 summers 19972024 CMIsc has offered musicians several intensive coaching sessions over a period of a few weeks followed by a performance at a fine venue. Director Kay Pech carefully grouped musicians by ability into string quartets or other ensembles and matched them with appropriately challenging music. Musicians were exposed to the standard repertoireHaydn Mozart Beethoven et al.
